# Direct messages from your supporters

> Choose the tier that can send you direct messages, or turn them off. Messages arrive in your studio inbox.

## What it does

Supporters on the tier you choose, and every tier above it, can open a private conversation with you. You read and reply from the inbox in your studio.

## You decide who can write

Pick any of your tiers as the lowest one that can message you, or turn direct messages off. With them off, supporters cannot start a conversation with you.

You might keep direct messages for your top tier, so a reply from you is part of what that tier pays for.

## What it costs

Direct messages are part of your page. There is no extra charge for them.
