## What it means

The code that runs TKVR is published under the [GNU Affero General Public License, version 3](https://www.gnu.org/licenses/agpl-3.0.html). You can read how fees, payouts and access work instead of taking our word for it.

Anyone may run their own copy and change it. Anyone who runs a changed copy for other people has to share those changes under the same license.

## Why it matters to creators

Together with payments on your own Stripe account and a member list you can export any time, it means the platform cannot lock you in.
