# How membership fees work on TKVR

> TKVR charges 0% on your first 10,000 US dollars, then 3% of each payment. Card processing is Stripe's own fee, at cost. Worked examples inside.

## The short version

- Your first 10,000 US dollars: 0%.
- After that: 3% of each payment.
- Card processing: Stripe's own fee, on your own Stripe account. TKVR adds nothing to it.
- No monthly plan and no setup fee.

## Any currency, counted in US dollars

You can charge in about 30 major currencies. Each payment counts toward the 10,000 at the exchange rate on the day it is paid.

## The payment that crosses the line

Only the part above 10,000 is charged. If you have earned 9,950 US dollars and a payment of 100 US dollars comes in, the fee is 1.50 US dollars. After that, a payment of 10 US dollars costs 0.30 US dollars in fees.

Fees are rounded down, so any rounding is in your favour.

## What counts

Memberships, [paid calls](https://tkvr.me/features/video-calls) and [course sales](https://tkvr.me/features/courses) all count toward the same allowance. It belongs to the person, not the page: if you [run several pages](https://tkvr.me/features/teams), your total across them is what counts.

With [bring a friend](https://tkvr.me/features/referrals), the fee is worked out on what is actually charged after the discount.

## Where the money goes

Supporters pay on [your own Stripe account](https://tkvr.me/features/stripe-payouts). Stripe pays out to your bank on its usual schedule, and TKVR never holds your money.
