# A Patreon alternative with lower fees

## The fee, side by side

TKVR takes 0% of your first 10,000 US dollars, counted over your lifetime on the platform, then 3% of each payment. There is no monthly plan and no setup fee.

Patreon's [pricing page](https://www.patreon.com/pricing) lists 10% of the income you earn there, plus payment processing, currency conversion and payout fees (checked 10 October 2026).

Card processing is charged on both, so it is left out of the numbers below.

## What it adds up to

- At 800 US dollars a month, a new TKVR page pays nothing in platform fees over its first 12 months. At 10%, the same income would cost 960 US dollars.
- At 2,000 US dollars a month, a new TKVR page pays 420 US dollars in platform fees over its first 12 months. At 10%, the same income would cost 2,400 US dollars.

## Other differences

- Supporters pay on [your own Stripe account](https://tkvr.me/features/stripe-payouts), so you are the merchant and Stripe pays your bank directly.
- You can [export your members](https://tkvr.me/features/member-export) as a CSV any time.
- The platform is [open source under AGPL-3.0](https://tkvr.me/features/open-source).
