## Why a paid chat

A chat turns supporters into a group. Members get to talk to you and to each other, which is something a free feed cannot give them.

## Set it up on TKVR

1. [Start free](https://tkvr.me/login?next=/studio/onboarding) and add at least one tier.
2. In your studio, open Community and pick the lowest tier that can join. Everyone on that tier or above gets in.
3. Decide whether supporters can also [message you directly](https://tkvr.me/features/direct-messages), and from which tier.
4. Tell your members where to find it: the chat lives on your page.

Access follows the membership. When someone cancels and their paid month ends, they leave the chat. You never remove people by hand.

## Keep it worth paying for

- Show up on a rhythm members can count on, even if it is once a week.
- Post things there first: a new track, a draft, a behind the scenes photo.
- Run events around it, like a [livestream](https://tkvr.me/features/livestreams) with its own live chat.
- Ask questions. A chat where only you talk is a feed.

## What it costs

The chat is part of your page. You pay the normal fee on memberships and nothing extra for the chat.
