Cookie notice

The short version

TKVR uses browser storage to keep you signed in and to make the features you use work. We have no advertising or analytics cookies of our own. The only thing that is not strictly necessary is video playback data for Mux, and it stays off unless you tap Accept on the cookie banner.

Needed to sign in and use TKVR

• sb-...-auth-token (local storage): your sign-in session, set by Supabase. Kept until you sign out.
• tkvr.studio.workspace (local storage): the workspace you last opened in the studio. Kept until you clear it.
• tkvr:chunk-reload (session storage): stops the page reloading more than once after we release an update. Cleared when you close the tab.

For features you use

• tkvr_ref_ and tkvr.ref. followed by the page's handle (a cookie and local storage): the bring a friend code from a link you followed, so the friend offer applies when you join. It holds only the code. Kept for 30 days.
• tkvr-read-day (local storage): makes sure a read post counts towards your streak once a day.
• tkvr-streak-seen- followed by your user ID (local storage): the streak number you last saw, so it only celebrates once.
• hiiki:onboarding:photo-skipped: followed by an ID (local storage): remembers that you skipped adding a photo while setting up a page.
• @stream-io/device-preferences (local storage): your camera and microphone choice for calls and livestreams, set by Stream.

None of these are used to track you across other sites.

Set by other services

• Cloudflare Turnstile checks you are a person on the sign-in page. It reads browser signals to do this.
• Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages, which are on stripe.com, to process payments and prevent fraud. Stripe's cookie policy covers them.
• Mux streams some videos. Only if you tap Accept, playing one sends playback quality data to Mux and may set a cookie called muxData to tell viewing sessions apart. If you tap Reject, neither happens and videos still play.

Your choices

The cookie banner asks once. Change your answer any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or on your account page.

tkvr:consent (local storage): remembers whether you tapped Accept or Reject. Kept until you clear it.

You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you clear them, you are signed out. If you block them, sign in will not work.
