Creator terms
Extra terms for anyone who runs a page on TKVR: fees, payouts, refunds, chargebacks, tax, content and your members' data.
These terms add to the Terms
These terms apply when you run a page on TKVR, alone or with a team. They add to our Terms of service, which still apply. If the two disagree, these terms win for anything about running a page.
Who can run a page
- You must be at least 18.
- You need a Stripe account to get paid. You set it up through TKVR, and you must live in a country Stripe supports for this. You agree to Stripe's terms for connected accounts, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
- The details you give us and Stripe must be true and kept up to date.
You are the seller
Payments from your members are made on your own Stripe account. You are the seller, so you are responsible for what you sell, for giving members what each tier, course or call promises, and for answering their questions.
You set your prices and what each tier includes. Tell members clearly what they get.
Fees
- No platform fee on the first 10,000 US dollars you earn through TKVR. After that, the platform fee is 3% of each payment.
- The payment that crosses that line is only charged on the part above it.
- The allowance belongs to you, not to a page. If you own several workspaces, their earnings count together.
- Payments in other currencies count at their US dollar value on the day of the payment. Platform fees round down, in your favour.
- Stripe charges its own processing fee on your Stripe account, at Stripe's rates. TKVR adds nothing to it.
- There is no monthly plan and no setup fee.
- The optional ID verified badge costs 5 euro per check, or about the same in your currency, paid to TKVR. The fee pays for the check whatever the result. If a check fails because of a problem with the photo or the document type, you get one free retry.
We take the platform fee from each payment through Stripe before it reaches your balance. We email you at least 15 days before a change to our fees takes effect.
Payouts
Stripe pays your balance to your bank on Stripe's payout schedule. TKVR never holds your money. Stripe may delay or hold payouts under its own terms, for example while it checks your identity.
Refunds
Members can cancel a paid call for a full refund, or move it, until 24 hours before it starts. If you cancel a call, the member always gets a full refund. When a call is refunded through TKVR, our platform fee on it is returned too.
Refunds for memberships and courses are your decision, as the seller. You must follow consumer law where your members live, including any legal right to cancel.
Before a member pays for a course, product or membership, TKVR asks them to agree that access starts straight away and that they then lose the 14-day right to cancel. Their answer and the time they gave it are stored on your Stripe account with the purchase.
Disputes and chargebacks
If a member disputes a payment with their bank, the dispute is on your Stripe account. Stripe takes the disputed amount and its dispute fee from your balance, and you can respond to it through Stripe. Our platform fee on a disputed payment is not returned automatically.
If your Stripe balance goes negative and Stripe recovers the money from us, you agree to pay it back.
Tax
You are responsible for your own taxes, including income tax and any VAT or sales tax on what you sell. TKVR does not collect or pay tax for you. Your Stripe account and your studio show your payments to help you keep records.
Your content
You keep the rights to everything you post. You give us permission to store, copy, process and show it, only so we can run your page, deliver it to your members and show previews of it, for as long as it is on TKVR.
You must have the rights to everything you post, including music, video and images, and the permission of anyone who appears in it. The content rules in our Terms of service apply to your page, posts, courses, chats, calls and livestreams.
We can remove content and suspend or close a page that breaks these rules or the law. We tell you why, and you can reply to ask us to look again.
Your members' data
You can see your members' names, email addresses, tiers and payments, and export your member list as a CSV file. For this data you are a separate controller under data protection law.
Use it only to run your page and deliver what members paid for, and as the law allows. Keep it safe. Do not sell it, and do not send members marketing they have not agreed to.
Teams
You can invite people to help run your workspace. You are responsible for what they do on it, and for removing access when they leave.
Bring a friend offers
If you turn on bring a friend, the discount or free month a new member gets is funded by you, on your Stripe account. Our platform fee is a share of what is actually charged.
Closing your page
To close a page, email david@tkvr.me. We may suspend or close a page that breaks these terms, the Terms of service or the law, or that Stripe will not support.
Changes
If we change these terms, we post the new version here with a new date.
We email you at least 15 days before a change to these terms or our fees takes effect, unless a law or a regulator makes us change sooner.
If you do not agree to a change, you can close your page before it takes effect.
